DIVINE SECRETS FOR LIVING IN POSSIBILITIES

“DIVINE SECRETS FOR LIVING IN POSSIBILITIES”
‪‎TEXT: JOSHUA 1:1-8 & MATTHEW 19:26
Bishop Ponle Alabi

A TEACHING DELIVERED ON THE 15TH OF SEPTEMBER, 2015 DURING THE FELLOWSHIP HOUR OF THE DEPARTMENT OF PHYSIOLOGY- LADOKE AKINTOLA UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY, OGBOMOSO.
VENUE: LAUTECH UNIVERSITY CHAPEL, OGBOMOSO.
BY: BISHOP PONLE ALABI OF COVENANT OF PEACE EVANGELISTIC ASSOCIATION-INC

I appreciate the leadership of this Department for the opportunity I have to share with the students of Physiology Department of this great Institution- Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomosho. I do not use the adjective “great” lightly because of what it uniquely mean to me. My Wife is a product of this great institution and for that I have applied the adjective “great”. If this institution were a human being, She would be my like an in-law to me. Laugh!

Today, I will quickly share with you on the topic; “DIVINE SECRETS FOR LIVING IN POSSIBILITIES”. I will like to have us read from the book of Joshua 1: 1-8 and Matthew 19:26.

Joshua 1:1-8; “Now after the death of Moses the servant of the LORD it came to pass, that the LORD spake unto Joshua the son of Nun, Moses' minister, saying, Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel. Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses. From the wilderness and this Lebanon even unto the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and unto the great sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your coast... Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest. This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

Matthew 19:26; “But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.”

Let me begin with a purported story of Muhammed Ali, the great boxer. Muhammed Ali was traveling by air and the pilot discovered that a great turbulence was coming their way and so announced that everyone should belt up. However, Muhammed Ali refused to belt up and the Airhostess asked him to obey the Captain’s command. And immediately Ali responded; “Superman don’t need belts to be safe”. Whatever Ali was “inhaling” at the time which made him feel invincible, we do not know but the Airhostess responded almost instantly; “Superman does need a plane to travel and so you are not superman or are you?” With that, Muhammed Ali was silenced. The rejection of knowledge is the rejection of momentary reality. And when you cannot respond to real questions, you present yourself for ridicule.

King Crimson, a rock group from London in 1969, released a song with the lyrics; “Knowledge is a deadly friend, when no one sets the rule”. Today, the pursuit of knowledge is a demand as well as a challenge. Yet the underlining purpose for Knowledge must not be lost or else you and I can become ‘knowledgeable failures’. It is clear that the search for knowledge really is profitable and beneficial. It is profitable because it changes who you are and beneficial because it permits the access to what you can be. As you begin this new semester, you must understand that to avoid becoming a failure or a successful failure, your pursuit of knowledge should afford you the ability to respond to life’s questions. That simple rule can help put all things in perspective.

Life is filled with questions. You have to prepare to answer life’s questions. You are here in this school to answer the question that life will throw at you. And I can assure you, life will always ask you questions. Questions on how much you have to offer the society, how valuable you are in the society and how matured you are for relationships.

Our text in the book of Joshua presents these truths about life. Joshua had just lost his leader and model, Moses and now faced with uncertainty, he begins his semester as it were with offers. Let’s quickly answer two questions.

1. WHAT SECRETS DOES GOD NEED TO REVEAL FOR JOSHUA TO BE PROSPEROUS?
A. THE FIRST SECRET IS THAT ONLY THE ACCEPTANCE OF GOD’S TRUTH CAN HELP ACHIEVE THE GOD KIND OF SUCCESS.
God said to Joshua; “Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel” (Joshua 1:2). There is a land that belongs to you, arise and get it. The truth is that God has given them a possession and all that Joshua needed was to pursue that truth. Yet this truth offers Joshua with an alternative. You can refuse to rise and you can reject what belongs to you. God’s truth is meant to convince Joshua yet Joshua can choose to live by opinion. What is the difference? ‘Opinion is choosing amidst options, but conviction is truth accentuated above all else such that it has no companion’. There are possibilities this semester, but you can also choose the option of opinion. Opinion is what your friends offer you outside of the reason you are in school. Opinions are the failures of the past, you can fight to change that opinion with hard work. Opinions are the alternative to the pursuit of truth or purpose.

B. THE SECOND SECRET IS THAT FINDING MEANING IN LIFE (FULFILMENT) IS ONLY BY THE APPLICATION OF GOD’S TRUTH.
God said to Joshua; “Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses. From the wilderness and this Lebanon even unto the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and unto the great sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your coast. There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee” (Josh. 1:3-5).

At a glance you may assume that God was offering them a key to “claiming” everything the sole of their feet touches until you observe that; ‘God will only permit them success within the confines of the land specified- “from the wilderness to …the great sea”’. This University allows you to dream and achieve that dream as long as you stay within the boundaries stipulated. Now the struggle is with the possibility of transgressing and yet gaining success in life and especially for you in this semester. God promised a land and yet the land does not really have any meaning until God’s truth is solely applied to their life. There is an exclusivity to truth and that is what every child of God and aspiring children of God must understand.

The law of non-contradiction says; “two antithetical proportion cannot both be true at the same time and in the same sense. X cannot be non-X”. John 2:21 says; “no lie is of the truth”. It is either God’s promise is true about what the future holds or it is a lie. You cannot live outside of God’s truth and still claim that God will be with you. When you absolve a contrary view to God’s plan of exclusiveness, you strangle your life out of meaning. “For all have sinned” is either the truth about everyone’s state or it is a lie”. John 3:3 says; “…unless you are born again you cannot see (experience) the Kingdom of God”. It is either God’s specification is followed or your specifications is right, both of you cannot be right. So if this semester will end with great success, I mean the God kind of success- under which specification are you living or going to live?

2. WHY DOES GOD NEED TO REVEAL THESE SECRETS?
The reason for God’s revelation to Joshua was because LIFE WILL ALWAYS ASK QUESTIONS AND EVERYONE MUST BE READY WITH ANSWERS. God again said to Joshua; “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success” (Joshua 1:8). This verse is a promise and also a response to life’s questions. God offered a single book as the answer to the question of Joshua’s prosperity and pursuit of success. I usually joke philosophically that; “If Jesus is the answer, what then is the question?” God prescribed the future of Joshua as responding to the question of prosperity and success. And only one book holds the key to these answers. School life is asking you about why you are here and what are you committed to so as to achieve that purpose. Relationships is asking you, what should we expect from you so that our society can get better. Test and exams are asking how prepared are you for the unexpected or even the expected. Exams may not be the true test of your intelligence as many would say, but it is the true test of your preparedness for surprises in life. Joshua required a prosperous way and a successful term, yet outside of God’s law, nothing is possible.

CONCLUSION
As you begin this new semester, you must choose how you will live; the way you want or the way God prescribes. Today you have heard that you can either live by God’s truth or human opinion. And that meaning is found only within the confines of what God specifies for you. You can succeed this semester if you set your heart to finding out what God says about how you should live and staying faithful to that righteousness. However, from God’s statement to Joshua, we know that life will ask us questions and we must be prepared to answer them. Every day is an opportunity to respond to life’s questions through preparation. For Joshua- His ways must be prosperous and He need to have good success. God followed this same principle when He gave the ultimate answer to man’s problem. Some two thousand years ago, God demonstrated in accordance to His plans from Genesis to respond to the problem of man- SIN. Sin is separation from God but most importantly “missing the target” that God has set. The cross is the only place where everyone is acceptable. The cross is the answer to man’s problem. The problem of experiencing fully all the good things that God has for His people. Matthew 19:26 says; “with God all things are possible”. The phrase, “with God” makes the life of possibilities an exclusive offer. How can man find prosperity and success in life? Only “with God”? Yes, with God all things are possible. God gave His son Jesus when we could not get back into the specified place where we can enjoy His good plans. At the cross any one can cross over by faith and tap into a prosperous future and gain good success. It is either your way or His way. Why not give Jesus Christ a chance today and let this semester begin with a walk with the God who makes all things possible. Shalom!

YES- THEY ARE ALL IN THE CHURCH!

YES- THEY ARE ALL IN THE CHURCH!
John 13:15
Bishop Ponle Alabi

The Bible is very blunt when it comes to revealing the truth. God called David a man after God's heart yet speaks over and over about his sins and redemption. The Bible does not hide the errors of men who pursue the triumph that faith gives. Paul would have had a perfect life but the Bible says he was also a sinner saved by grace.Peter would have become a "demi-god" but for the many times he fell and was raised by mercy, we know Christ is still the only Saviour of the World. Elijah performed such a great miracle that without James revealing he was a man like us, many of us who have read and studied his life would have assumed...he was always a superhuman. All these point to the integrity of the Bible. Many other religions hide the faults of their founders and leaders...but Jesus Christ alone challenged the opposition; "Who among you can prove me guilty of any sin?..."- John 8:46. Nobody in the history of Humanity could ever say that. Bold statement!

Jesus Christ revealed His aim; "For I gave you an example that you also should do as I did to you." Jesus wants the Church to turn out like Him. But is the Church really like Christ?

The Word reveals the kind of members in the Church:
1. The IGNORANT BRETHREN: 1 Thessalonian 4:13 reveals that the Church can include the association of the IGNORANT brothers. One of my teachers would call them the largest denomination in many churches. The problem with Ignorant brothers is that they do not understand how Faith and hope works. Faith bears hope and hope is included in faith. "Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen". They are so confident in things they do not know...ignorant brethren!

2. The EVIL WORKERS: Philippians 3:2 calls these people "dogs" because they live by the flesh. Their FIVE SENSES control their decisions. They want the Pastor dressed in a particular way to be acceptable to them. They want the Church programme to be according to tradition and cultural taste. They are happy fulfilling the rituals of religion. Luke 18:11-12; "...For I don’t cheat, I don’t sin, and I don’t commit adultery. I’m certainly not like that tax collector! I fast twice a week, and I give you a tenth of my income.’" Their approval is in what can be seen. Pastor and ministers who don't watch out of these kind in the Church will come to live by their applause and damage their responsibility towards God. It is easy to pick a Deacon or an Elder from this group. When the flesh(five senses) controls, works of evil will ultimately abound.

3. The TRUTH DISTORTER: Acts 20:30; "Even from your own number, men will rise up and distort the truth to draw away disciples after them". They have all the vocabularies of religion. What they want is to draw a follower-ship. When you teach them from the scriptures, they come back to share the same thing with their own additions laying claim to authorship so they can gain follower-ship. Have you seen the Type "Amen" to claim a blessing? They often quote a Bible text out of its context to move your emotions to follow them.

4. The NON-ABIDER : 1 John 2:19; "They went out from us, but they did not really belong to us, because if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us. But they went out from us to demonstrate that all of them do not belong to us". These would stay for a while but they are just really passing through. They live by the application of any opinion and do not care about the convictions of truth. They deny the relationship between the father and His son, Christ Jesus. They will leave when the truth of Christ is continually proclaimed above all else. So talk about Christ and His salvation through the cross.

5. The NON-TONGUE SPEAKERS: 1 Corinthians 14:39; "So then, brothers and sisters, be eager to prophesy, and do not forbid anyone from speaking in tongues". The Bible says "do not forbid anyone from speaking in tongues" and this logically means there are those who do not speak in tongues in the Church. I know you have heard everyone spoke in tongues in the New Testament...but here you see that it is not everyone, there are those who didn't. Those who don't are called upon not to FORBID those who do. Now you know that the Church includes those who could speak in tongues and those who can't. Salvation is the sign of the coming of the Holy Spirit (1 Cor. 12:3) not tongues. There were times in the Bible when the only thing that happened after the infilling of the Holy Spirit was the boldness to speak the Gospel and not tongues (Acts 4:13)

6. The FAVORITISM CAMPAIGNERS: Acts 10:34; "Then Peter began to speak: "Now I really understand that God doesn't show favoritism". Peter assumed that God would have favorites. Today many still assume that God shows favoritism with those He can save and empower. God is not impressed with your income, race or social status but looks for those He can invest His grace upon. Favoritism sees who you are to qualify you, grace sees who you can be to justify you.

7. The JESUS KIND: 1 John 2:6; "The one who says he resides in God ought himself to walk just as Jesus walked". Those who walk like Jesus only feel like Jesus would feel. They will speak only when and where He speaks. They desire to do the very thing Jesus Christ did. Paul said He was a Jesus Walker too (imitate me as I imitate Christ). For them EVERYTHING must be judged and prescribed by the word of God. They live a life of total commitment to the Word. Like the Berean, they seek the "word" to accept any word.

FINALLY
It is amazing that Jesus Christ died, was buried and was raised for all men. Now what makes you different in life is the place of the finished work of Christ in your life. Not a single person will ever make heaven outside of grace. So these revelations and many more about the kind of flocks in the Church point to the activities of grace. Never stop looking at the word...for the word applies grace upon your life until you are transformed into the likeness of Christ. Shalom!

THE LAWS OF DOMINION

THE LAWS OF DOMINION
Apostle Joshua Selman Nimmak

Psalm 100:2 (KJV) Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing.

We sincerely appreciate your commitment to us each week. God bless you richly.

Certain things should happen to you as signs that you are growing spiritually.
1. The first sign of growth is Transformation. #TheLawsOfDominionReview

God's Word has to transform your mindset which will in turn reflect in your character.

You are not going if there is no force compelling you to lay down false mindsets in order to adopt the Kingdom Ideology.

All your actions are based on your perception, beliefs and convictions. #ApostleJoshuaSelmanNimmak

Repentance is taking off of the old man to adopt the new. This should happen every time you collide with God's Word.

If you refuse to be changed by God's Word, He will be limited in your life. #ApostleJoshuaSelmanNimmak #TheLawsOfDominionReview

Psalm 78:41 (KJV) Yea, they turned back and tempted God, and limited the Holy One of Israel.

In Scripture, it has always been a partnership of human vessels with God's Spirit, who are willing to subscribe to His Ideologies.

The distinction between spiritual men is simply their degree of alignment to the Holy Spirit. #TheLawsOfDominionReview

Isaiah 55:9 (KJV) For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

The Word of God enables you to study God's persuasions in order to imbibe and conform to them. #TheLawsOfDominionReview

Transformation enables God to pass through your life without your mind resisting Him. #TheLawsOfDominionReview

The major sources of false mindsets are Culture and Past experiences. #TheLawsOfDominionReview

In God's Presence, we ask Him to open us up and take out everything that does not align to His divine pattern. #TheLawsOfDominionReview

Genuine transformation enables you to relate with everyone, of different cultural backgrounds and tribes.

Declare: I allow the Word of God to change me. #ApostleJoshuaSelmanNimmak

The greatest disadvantage you can do to yourself is to hold on to mindsets that prevents God from having access in your life.

The principles of the Kingdom is not haphazard. There is a system formed for every aspect of your life. #TheLawsOfDominionReview

Genuine transformation attracts blessings and persecution from the people in the world. #TheLawsOfDominionReview

Romans 12:1 (KJV) I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

Romans 12:2 (KJV) And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God.

The moment you profess your faith in God's Word, you put pressure on Him to respond to you. #TheLawsOfDominionReview

Proverbs 31:31 (KJV) Give her of the fruit of her hands; and "let her own works praise her in the gates".

Regardless of the manifestations of the Spirit, one key to measure growth is transformation of your ideologies. #TheLawsOfDominionReview

Your enemies can not help but testify to genuine transformation because it will be undeniable.

Acts 11:26 (KJV) And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch

2. The second proof of spiritual growth is Results (bearing fruits). The fruit in a tree is a sign of life.

With time in your Christian journey, there must be evidence that God is with you. Genuine proofs can't be argued #ApostleJoshuaSelmanNimmak

Luke 7: 20 (KJV) When the men were come unto him, they said, John Baptist hath sent us unto thee, saying Art thou he that should come? or look we for another?

Luke 7:21 (KJV) And in that same hour he cured many of their infirmities and plagues, and of evil spirits and unto many that were blind he gave sight.

Declare: My life will produce results. #ApostleJoshuaSelmanNimmak #TheLawsOfDominionReview

No one will subscribe to your ideologies if benefits are not seen. These benefits should be seen in all aspects of your life.

The greatest way to respond to critics is to produce more results. #ApostleJoshuaSelmanNimmak #TheLawsOfDominionReview

Your God is coming through for you to silence every accuser in your life. #Prophecy #ApostleJoshuaSelmanNimmak

The Power of God is celebrated in this ministry because He is noted to bring consistent results every time, everywhere!

Pray: My life must bear fruits. Lord, I will serve you inspite of the results but I desire them in my life.

Pray: Lord, let men see an evidence in my life that God is with me.

You have not right to criticize false manifestations if you cannot produce genuine results. #TheLawsOfDominionReview

Pray: Lord, let there be a difference between my life and unbelievers.

Pray: Lord, hasten my miracle and breakthrough in Jesus Name.

God is answering prayers this morning. #ApostleJoshuaSelmanNimmak #TheLawsOfDominionReview

Pray: Lord, make me an eternal excellency and joy of many generations.

Pray: Every power that stops my miracle from the heavenlies, I command you to give way in Jesus Name.

Pray: I subdue powers that operate in the heavenlies. No curse can stand against my life, I am an inferno of fire!

James 5:16 (KJV) ...The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

There must be a time in your life when you rise up to your challenges in the place of prayer and exert your dominion.

The spirit of prayer and supplication is in this place. Break through in prayers, there is power when you pray. #ApostleJoshuaSelmanNimmak

Pray: The blood of Jesus is the price for my destiny. I invoke the blood and challenge the gates of hell.

1 Corinthians 16:9 (KJV) For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries.

James 5:13 (KJV) Is any among you afflicted? let him pray...

When you pray, there is a force that mounts pressure in the spirit and makes you get past barriers. #TheLawsOfDominionReview

There is a way you pray in the spirit and you've prayed through. An uncommon audacity comes upon you to shake off any form of evil.

Pray: I take back everything the devil has taken from me and command a total restoration.

The hand of the Lord is upon me and I want to prophesy. And there will be miracles by the Power of God. #ApostleJoshuaSelmanNimmak

Any power holding anyone down, let them go in Jesus Name. #Prophecy

I command financial, health, academic breakthroughs over your life and families. #Prophecy

I put a stop to every power limiting your season of greatness in Jesus Name. #Prophecy

Genesis 1:26 (KJV) And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness; and let them have "dominion"...

The character of God's Spirit is that His Prophetic Word is the same agency that follows you through until the prophecy comes to fruition.

God wants man to have dominion and this means that there is provision in reality for man to attain this. #TheLawsOfDominionReview

Genesis 2:8 (KJV) And LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put man whom he had formed.

Genesis 2:9 (KJV) And out of the ground made the Lord God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

There are two trees in the garden of Eden.
1. The tree of life
2. The tree of the knowledge of good and evil (Forbidden knowledge)

Spiritual food is not for the satisfaction of hunger. It is for impartation and knowledge.

Arise and eat because the journey is too great for thee.

1 Kings 19:7 And the angel of the LORD came again the second time, and touched him, and said,

1 Kings 19:8 And he arose, and did eat and drink, and went in the strength of that meat forty days and forty nights...

We will examine the Mystery of Forbidden Knowledge. #TheLawsOfDominionReview

When the fallen angels came, they took knowledge forbidden for man to know and began to feed man with it.

Eating from the tree of life gives life and insight to walk in dominion. It is a foreshadow of eternal life.

Immortality is a product of consistently feeding from the tree of life. It transcends from your spirit to your soul and mortal flesh.

The secret of immortality is to intercourse with the Person of eternal life. #ApostleJoshuaSelmanNimmak

The rate of rejuvenation in the human body is very slow so not everyone will attain immortality.

Eating from the tree of knowledge of good and evil gives you knowledge that puffs up because it is not from God.

Forbidden knowledge is the way sorcerers and diviners get accurate, devilish revelation and inventions.

Spiritual transfer is done in the night time while men are asleep. Beings gain access to the earth realm and cause afflictions.

Matthew 13:25 (KJV) But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way

Forbidden knowledge are valid, spiritual laws but they are not initiated and sustained by God's Spirit.

When you do not exalt the Word above prophecy, you will have visitations that are not initiated  by God. #TheLawsOfDominionReview

Insatiable lust for power and revelation is dangerous, the glory never goes back to God. The secret therefore is to walk in the Spirit.

One characteristic of walking in the flesh is high level of knowledge with low evidence of transformation.

We will further explore two important spiritual laws. #TheLawsOfDominionReview

Knowledge takes away ignorance and enables you dominate the earth by judging happenings from a plane of understanding.

1. Law of Territory: Dominion is territorial. Even, the satanic organogram understand their jurisdictions and bondaries.

Certain demonic operations are territorial and this is why certain places are noted with distinct traits. #TheLawsOfDominionReview

You must understand that you will exercise true dominion only in your place of assignment. #TheLawsOfDominionReview

You must take out time to hear from God where He wants you to be in every season. #TheLawsOfDominionReview

Your blessings are territorial. Favor is a sign that you are in the right place. #ApostleJoshuaSelmanNimmak

Territory goes beyond the geographical location. It is the jurisdiction of your calling a Minister. #TheLawsOfDominionReview

When God calls a man, He equips him according to the jurisdiction of that office. #TheLawsOfDominionReview

Struggle is inevitable when you fail to understand your jurisdiction of operation. #TheLawsOfDominionReview

2. The second spiritual law we will explore is "The Law of Exchange" #TheLawsOfDominionReview

The law of exchange is giving up something you love for something you desire.

John 3:16 (KJV) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him shall not perish...

Evil happens in a place unhindered because they have given up something in return for access to wrought the works of evil.

When man fell, God had to give His Son in exchange for the price of sin. #TheLawsOfDominionReview

The law of exchange can be seen as the devils attempts to get Jesus' loyalty in exchange for the kingdoms of the world.

Mark 6:36 (KJV) For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?

This is the concept of selling your soul to the devil. You exchange your loyalty for fame and success. #TheLawsOfDominionReview

You can only walk in dangerous dimensions of the anointing if God has your life in exchange for His glory. #ApostleJoshuaSelmanNimmak

Everything you will get will be in exchange for something. There is a relationship between blood and wealth.

1 Kings 3:4b (KJV) ...a thousand burnt offerings did Solomon offer upon that altar

Success is spiritual. There has to be an exchange of your allegiance to a deity for you to be successful. #TheLawsOfDominionReview

When you make an exchange of your life experientially to God, He is obliged to preserve you; you have become His.

When you attempt to touch God's choice vessel, you do it to your detriment. There is an altar of sacrifice speaking for him.

Your first exchange starts when you come to surrender to Jesus Christ, otherwise you will be buffeted by the devil.

Pray: I relinquish ownership of my life and surrender to You. Thank You for salvation. Amen

Pray: I receive grace to stay in my jurisdiction

WHY REVIVALS DIE

WHY REVIVALS DIE
Ministering: Apostle Joshua Selman Nimmak

In few minutes, reflect on what the Lord is transforming you into and bless His Name.

The Index of Leadership is in the ability to make your followers, leaders and agents of change. #ApostleJoshuaSelmanNimmak

The Apostolic Ministry beguiles a lot of people because of its flamboyancy but it comes with a lot of sacrifice, burden and responsibility.

An Apostle is burdened with the weights of people and emphasis of God's agenda in a territory for a particular dispensation.

Psalm 105:14 (KJV) He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes
Apostles serve as communicators of God's divine truth and vessels in which God's realities are transmitted.

You have to realize that every Friday meeting under this Apostolic cloud is strategic; never trivialize them.

Pray: Lord, open my eyes tonight. #ApostleJoshuaSelmanNimmak

Matthew 11:15 (KJV) He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.

"I lift my hands to You, You are the awesome God, I lift my voice to You, Awesome God, Awesome God" #ApostleJoshuaSelmanNimmak

In every major move of God, three things happened:
1. A strange season of open heavens that brings dimensions of great possibilities.
2. Intense and heavy criticisms and persecutions
3. Many were cut short and did not finish strong.

The Move of God must be done with Precision, Intelligence and must conclude till the end. #ApostleJoshuaSelmanNimmak

There is one factor that brings Revivals to an end. It is the "Humanity of men". #ApostleJoshuaSelmanNimmak

For sustainable revival, you have to build a system to prevent the limitations of your humanity.

In Scripture, there are four living creatures that reveal the dimensions of God:
1. The face of a Lion that reveals the Dominion of God.

Dominion refers to a realization of the tremendous power made available to you in Christ.

The Consequence of an exaggeration of Dominion is Pride. #ApostleJoshuaSelmanNimmak

2. The face of a Calf that reveals the Servant-hood dimension of Christ.

You have to realize that the reason why great power is made available to you in Christ is for effective service in the Kingdom.

The hallmark of son-ship in the Kingdom is Servant-hood. It is the revelation of God's love that brings commitment to service.

The consequence of an exaggeration of Servant-hood is literal death and the wearing out of your mortal body.

3. The face of a Man is the third dimension that reveals man's humanity.

There are a lot of expectations placed on human vessels that carry God's anointing so much that, the humanity of man is not acknowledged.

Mark 11:11 (KJV) And Jesus entered into Jerusalem, and into the temple: and when he had looked round about upon all things and now the eventide was come, he went out unto Bethany with the twelve.

Mark 11:12 (KJV) And on the morrow, when they were come from Bethany, "he was hungry":

Recognize the fact that in your configuration to conform to Christ, your humanity was not taken away. #ApostleJoshuaSelmanNIimmak

Hebrews 4:15 (KJV) For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

The consequence of an exaggeration of humanity as an excuse is allowance of demonic activities into your life.

4. The face of an Eagle is the final dimension that reveals Divinity.

Declare: I am divine in-spite of my humanity.

Song: "Lord, You took my pain and then You gave me joy. You're my peace, my melody in the center of the storm..."

Song: "You gave me a brand new song to sing to You, that's why I will lift up my voice to sing; iyeeee iyeeee..." #ApostleJoshuaSelmanNimmak

The devil comes at desperate moments in your life; and if your humanity is not adequately managed, it corrupts God's work in your life.

Luke 4:13 (KJV) And when the devil had ended all the temptation, "he departed from him for a season".

Every man and revival that was cut short was because men did not accurately manage their humanity in times of vulnerability.

Isaiah 40:28 (KJV) Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.

Isaiah 40:29 (KJV) He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.

Isaiah 40:30 (KJV) "Even the youths shall faint and be weary", and the young men shall utterly fall:

Isaiah 40:31 (KJV) But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

The first benefit you get when you wait upon God is Strength and Capacity to absorb the distress that comes in this life.

Waiting on the Lord is a spiritual strategy that revitalizes you whenever your humanity is dominating your spirituality.

Proverbs 14:4 (KJV) Where no oxen are, the crib is clean: but much increase is by the strength of the ox.

We are in a season where the kingdom of hell is releasing arsenals that will reveal the humanity of men and cause them to stumble in faith.

There are three phases this invasion will cut across:
1. Individuals
2. Churches
2. Nations and Territories.

This teaching is meant to prepare you to sustain strength in the spirit because satan is set to discredit the power of God and His Word.

But in the midst of this chaos, there will be an Emergence of God's people who have overcome pain and are strengthened in the Lord.

Make sure you wait on the Lord. It is the strength and capacity received in Him that will enable you stand in the midst of adversaries.

Galatians 6:17 (KJV) From henceforth let no man trouble me: for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus.

Isaiah 43:1 (KJV) But now thus saith the Lord that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.

Stand through the pain and persecutions. It is the birthing of the anointing and glory of God in your life.

In a minute, lift your voice and pray: Lord, give me strength for the days ahead.

Be comforted, when everything fails, know that the Lord is with you. Do not trivialize His Presence.

Pray: Lord, hold my hands through this journey and remind me of Your Word whenever I want to give up

Declare to the Lord: No matter what I go through, my love for You is unbending.

The voice of the Spirit is calling unto everyone who hasn't made a decision to live for Him.

Prayer of Salvation: I dedicate my life to You today; I receive Your love and works on the Cross. Thank You for forgiveness.

STRIVE TO MAKE IT!

STRIVE TO MAKE IT!

"Strive to enter through the narrow door. For many, I tell you, will seek to enter and will not be able" (Luke 13:24 ESV).

"If wishes are horses, beggars will ride" according to a wise man. Heaven is a DESTINATION every one desires to be. It is a place every man wishes to go and spend their eternity. But the truth is that, no matter the amount of groaning, striving, wishes, tears, everybody will not make heaven. It is a place recommended for everybody, but it is a place everybody will not make.

Jesus urged us to strive, do all our we can, make every effort to enter through the narrow, difficult or strait gate; and to walk through the difficult road that leads to heaven so that we can be among the few that will go to Heaven, a Glorious abode of the saint. As the saying goes; "he who laugh last, laughs best". Although we might be crying now, we might be mocked now, there is assurance of a glorious eternity where we will relax and rejoice till the end of ages.

Brethren, this is another avenue to check your ways; and another opportunity to evaluate your life. The way of the Cross is every man's desire, do not be ashamed to enter through the gate and walk through the road. You can still be among the few people that will make heaven. The greatest and most important destiny fulfillment is making it to Heaven. Strive to be there!

Prayer:
O lord, give me the grace that will help me to make it. Give me the courage to drop all the loads that will derail me from the path.

THERE IS NEED FOR MATURITY

THERE IS NEED FOR MATURITY (Galatians 5:22-23)

"I am the Vine, you are the branches. When you're joined with me and I with you, the relation intimate and organic, the harvest is sure to be abundant. Separated, you can't produce a thing. Anyone who separates from me is deadwood, gathered up and thrown on the bonfire. But if you make yourselves at home with me and my words are at home in you, you can be sure that whatever you ask will be listened to and acted upon. This is how my Father shows who he is — when you produce grapes, when you mature as my disciples. (John 15:5-8, TMG)

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. (Galatians 5:22-23, NIV)

Maturity according to Encarta Dictionary can be defined as a mature state: the condition of being ripe, fully aged, or fully grown, especially mentally or emotionally. There can be no fruit-bearing without being preceded by maturity stage. You cannot produce without maturity. Every life desired to be productive, fruitful of fertile. This desire has become goals of everybody needing or awaiting reality or manifestation. The value and joy of every tree is to be fruitful. The fruits of every tree are produced after reaching productive years, one can never produce a fruit when one is not matured enough to produce. The maturity (spiritual maturity) is dependent on what controls our lives, who has dominion over our lives, and also what or who lives in us.

Under the leadership of the Holy Spirit, you will bear fruit and vice versa. When your walk in and with Him is alright and good, then your fruits will be good. You cannot bear good fruit when Christ is not in you, when He is not in the centre of your life (John 15:5). He must be in you and you must also be in Him. Are you in Christ? Is Christ in you?

Spiritual and physical maturity is enclosed in the Word of God (the Bible), it is when you explore the Word of God that you will be able to grow both spiritually and physically. Your knowledge of the Word will keep nourishing your body, soul and spirit so that you can reach the level of maturity God desires. Dare to grow, mature and be fruitful. There is a big difference between having the knowledge of the Word and having daily knowledge of the Word, it is your daily knowledge of the Word that you need to carry out your daily assignments or tasks because the anointing of yesterday might not be sufficient for the task of today. Every day has its own trouble requiring the power to overcome the trouble, you need to be connected to the daily source of power to overcome.

Maturity of a man or a woman God desired in using is rooted (after giving his or her to Christ, dwelling in God and God dwelling in Him, and also under the leadership of the Holy Spirit) in reading the Word of God, moving on to studying the Bible, advancing to meditating, progressing to memorizing, pressing on in living the Word, pushing on to knowing the Bible, and also determined to talk the Word of God to others. Do not retrogress in maturing because your maturity will distinguish you from infancy. Are you tired of babyhood, search and explore the beauty of the Word.

Every man or woman is a maturing man or woman, although some have a attain a level of maturity which can be a means of motivation but don't count anybody matured because Christianity is a continuous journey to a known destination, a glorious destination and you cannot be caught in the web of "I am a matured Christian". A person can declare his maturity when he is about to go the way of all flesh or about to die.

In conclusion, the basic step or the first step you need to take if you want to be a mature Christian is to give your totality to Christ. Surrendering to God is the access to maturity. God is sick and bored of your religiousity and sagacity, He wants to be lively and happy by becoming His son and daughter. Remove the veil, see the light that God has for you.

Always long to mature so as to manifest the fruit of the Spirit!!! Shalom

PATH OF DESTINY

PATH OF DESTINY

There are many ancient paths that is awaiting discovery, but there is a path that is unique for you which you have to discover so that you will be able to pass through. The pathway to the fulfillment of your destiny is unique awaiting discovery. It does not matter when your companions are making it, where they are excelling, how they are succeeding and what they are achieving; what matters most is that you have to make it, you have to fulfill purpose and destiny, and you have to excel in your area of specialization. Don't be carried away by others achievement, but be carried away with what your achievements will be.

As the lines on palms of twins are different so also is the lines on your palm are not the same with your best friend's so don't expect your way of life to be like his or hers. You are uniquely created to fulfill a unique purpose and destiny that nobody else will be able to fulfill and that is why your strategies in achieving it will be different from others. Your mission on earth is different from others and that is the reason you must live a different life that will suit your mission mode. Your calendar of activities must be different from others calendar. Your speech must not be like others but your speech must be guarded by the Word of God (Psalm 19:14).

Brothers and sisters, your time to stand up and face your future is now! The darkness over this earth is enough, don't hide your light again. You are a light waiting to be switched on, switch on and light up the world (Isaiah 60:1-2). The world is waiting for your explosion. Remember, you are a dynamite awaiting explosion that will shake your family, your Church, your town, your state, your country and the world. Don't wait till you die before you will begin to reign and take your rightful position take your stand now!!!

I A M L O O K I N G F O R W A R D F O R Y O U R E X P L O S I O N!!!

MUSIC: ANOTHER EDUCATION UNFOLDED (PSALMS 100)

The mystery behind music still stands unknown to many, the fulfilling power it wields and the many keys it possessed is still something that is yet to be unraveled.

Music means any fine tune that can be produced by anything abstract or non-abstract. Abstract ones can be the howling of wind, the soft tune made by gentle breezes and so on, while the non-abstract are musical instruments, human voice, singing birds etc. Having known what music is, we would have to know about its power.

First and foremost, we have to know that our God loves good music. It as it is our duty that saints after death will continue to praise God in the splendour of His glory. Also, he made angels so that they praise Him. He (God) uses music (I mean good music) to win wars for the Israelites.

Music is also known for its soothing and healing power. In 1 Samuel 16, the spirit of the Lord left Saul and he was possessed by an evil spirit, it was with the power in the good music that David made that soothed and healed him all those times. Several testimonies have been made in this contemporary period about many people being inspired by the power of music.

But lo and behold, the music that we know to possess this great power is nothing to write home about our environment today. Bad music is being sought after by both the young and the old. Our call as Christian is to learn Godly music, know it the core, and then use it to bring back our brethren that have gone lost.

Now, using America as a case study, it is discovered that there is no way an average American citizen won’t know about an instrument, and why is that? It is simply because right from a period in their childhood age, when they assimilate every possible teaching being passed across to them (precisely age 3), they would be made to learn an instrument but that is not the case here in our society because even most parents do not see any usefulness as to what music is.

It is also so devastating that our Baptist Churches are doing nothing to keep music alive, so it is a clarion call to our pastors to please encourage learning music and using it to serve God in our churches. Music is another reason many Baptist members are leaving for greener pasture in terms of music.

Another bad turn on the side of music in our churches is that people that are not supposed to be seen playing instruments in the church are the ones that are handling it because the responsible youth who should be there do not know anything about those instruments.

One day at a wedding programme where our choir was to minister, we started the programme well with some instrumentalists we can get, but at the time meant for thanksgiving, a drummer was called to come and play (only God knows who), because we have our drummer and he was already playing. Suddenly, he was asked to stand up so that the new guy could replace him. Many of us did not agree, but we had little to say in the matter. The guy started playing and just before the end of thanksgiving, he spoiled the bass drum and ran away. It was then someone came and told us that he had smoked Indian hemp before coming to playing in the church. This kind of occurred because he was deemed fit to play than our other drummer because we did not have many.

So right now, I am urging us to rise and take what is ours. There are many instruments you can learn that will make you useful in God’s vineyard. Learn something today, and when you do, use it for God alone and not for selfish reason. Rise up brethren and let us beat the devil’s music down. And remember Christ loves music. SHALOM!

Alagbe Faith I.

25 INSPIRATIONAL QUOTES

School may have been – or still be – boring, a killer of creativity or downright awful for you. But education is still important because it opens the mind and expands it. MY PRIDE IS THE CROSS OF JESUS

The cross of Jesus
May I never boast about anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. Because of that cross, my interest in this world has been crucified, and the world's interest in me has also died. (Galatians 6:14 NLT)

You can have Christian law just as much as you can have Mosaic law; you can be in bondage in Christianity just as much as men were in Judaism. Christianity can be made into an imposed system just as much as Mosaic law was, and there are many Christians today who live under the fear of the "Thou shalt" and the "Thou shalt not" of a legalistic conception of the Christian life. You can take the Bible as God's standard for your life and try to fulfill it and yet still be burdened with a sense of constant failure. It is God's standard, and it is a very exhaustive one which leaves no part of the practical life untouched, but those who make the effort to try to live up to it only end in disillusion. No, it is not just a matter of a Book but of a Person, the Person who did live up to that standard, absolutely fulfilling every least demand with the most perfect success, so satisfying God to the full. By His death He has delivered us from the bondage of legal demands. This same Person now lives in us by His Holy Spirit, seeking to work out that perfect will of God not on the basis of some binding instructions from without but as a living force within. We have the law written in our hearts. To be in Christ is a matter of Life and not of legalism.

Christ, and Christ crucified, is the power of God to bring deliverance from sin, from the flesh, from the law and from the world. "God forbid that I should glory save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by which the world has been crucified to me and I to the world" (Galatians 6:14). Paul was not glorying that he could enjoy so much of the world and yet have a clear conscience, but was enthusiastic about having been delivered from the world. For believers the only possible way of staying in this world is to know that they no longer belong to it.

By T. Austin-Sparks from: Christ the Power of God

YOU ARE NO MORE LIVING FOR YOURSELF BUT...

I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. (Galatians 2:20)

Christ is not a second personality or power, to come along to reinforce us, to vivify us, to strengthen us, for us to use in life and in service, and that He should make us something. That is not the thought, and that is not the angle of Scripture at all. And yet, how almost universally, perhaps largely unconsciously, that is what is happening. Christians are wanting to be made something, even as Christians; and Christian workers and the Lord's servants are, though perhaps unwittingly, wanting to be made something as workers; and they want Christ to reinforce them, come behind them, and make them something as His servants and in His service. That whole system of things is diametrically opposed to the truth. The truth is that Christ shall be All, and that we decrease that He may increase; that He should be the primary Personality, and that the impact and registration of any life and any service should not be: "What a good man he was!" or "What a good woman she is!" or "What a fine worker!" but: "What a presence of Christ! What a testimony to Christ! What an expression of Christ! What a sense of Christ! What a reality of Christ!"

Are our hearts set upon God having that which is wholly of Himself? That means "I" crucified! No longer I, but Christ! And that means that Christ in us is the basis of our conformity to His image, until we partake with Him of His own nature – pure gold. It is something to face seriously before Him. It brings to us a challenge, but surely it also brings to us a glorious possibility! What Christ is can be made good in us!
